VACANCY – CCGT Power Station Plant Manager Berakas Power Company Sdn Bhd (BPC), a Power Utility Company operating within Brunei Darussalam, is currently seeking to recruit a suitably qualified candidate for the post of Power Station Plant Manager We are seeking a highly skilled Power Station Plant Manager to lead the Operations and Maintenance team for a new 132 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) plant, currently under construction and equipped with Siemens SGT 800 gas turbine technology. This is a unique opportunity to take a senior role in a state of the art, high-efficiency, power generation facility from construction through to commercial operation and beyond.

Job Responsibility:

  • Establish and recruit an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team, ensuring all personnel are qualified and competent
  • Develop and implement all required operation documentation, including Plant Policies and Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) system, Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs, Maintenance plans and schedules, Asset Management Program, Spare parts inventory requirements, Emergency Response procedures
  • Set up a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in preparation for the plant operational phase post COD
  • Support the Owners Engineers in reviewing engineering deliverables, technical specifications, and contractor submissions
  • Manage the Long Term Program (LTP) with Siemens Energy for the Maintenance of the SGT-800 gas turbine units
  • Manage the participation of the O&M teams in commissioning, performance testing, and plant start-up activities, ensuring alignment with OEM and project requirements
  • Ensure that the O&M team is operational ready for plant takeover
  • Lead the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the CCGT power station
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards
  • Develop and manage annual and long term operating plans ensuring reliability and operational efficiency
  • Develop and manage plant budgets, reporting, KPI’s and performance analytics
  • Lead and coordinate plant technical projects and upgrades
  • Ensure proper documentation for O&M manuals, drawings, change management, contracts and LTP program
  • Manage the plant LTP program with Siemens Energy for the plant gas turbines

Requirements:

  • Recognized Engineering Degree or equivalent qualifications and/or experience acceptable to the Company
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in a senior level position at a power station
  • or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • In depth knowledge of CCGT power generation technology, including combustion and steam turbines, HRSG’s, ACC, water treatment plant and other general auxiliary equipment
  • Experience in Gas Turbine LTSA/LTP management
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Demonstrated leadership with excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and team management skills
  • Proactive, pragmatic and results oriented
  • Evaluates own behavior and personal impact and demonstrate an adaptive management style with ability to adapt to different cultures
  • Proficient command of the English language, both spoken and written

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience with Siemens SGT-800 gas turbines
  • Previous experience with Siemens Long Term Program (LTP) for SGT-800 gas turbines
  • Previous experience working outside native country or region, proven ability to deliver results in a multi cultural environment
