As a Catering Assistant, you’ll support our catering team with the preparation and service of meals for guests and staff. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in catering or hospitality, offering the chance to work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and attention to detail are essential. You’ll be expected to work a variety of shifts including some weekends, typically shifts are between 6:15 a.m.–2:45 p.m. or 11:15 a.m.–7:45 p.m.
Job Responsibility:
Serve meals to guests and staff
Assist with basic food preparation (e.g., cereals, salad bar, drinks)
Store and rotate food correctly in line with HACCP regulations
Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas, including trays, bins, and floors
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times
Follow all Allergen procedures
Assist with unpacking and storing deliveries
Support other departments (e.g., housekeeping) during busy periods
Greeting guests in the Canteen
Requirements:
An interest in catering and/or hospitality
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Hard-working with a genuine desire to make our guests happy
Nice to have:
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting is desirable but not essential
What we offer:
Salary up to £12.32 per hour (increasing from April)
