This position performs diagnostic computerized tomography scanning procedures to produce consistently high quality examinations in accordance with all applicable standards, regulations and licensing requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Performs diagnostic computerized tomography scanning procedures and exams
Determines proper techniques and positioning to ensure optimal results
Performs finalizing functions, including limited coding using radiology information system (RIS)
Archives records in accordance with Radiologist specifications
Performs regular equipment calibration and maintenance
Identifies and troubleshoots malfunctions
Provides CT safety information and lectures to patients and families
Assists in training of imaging students
Provide CT safety lectures to all hospital staff members
Participates in the evaluation and/or development of new procedures, protocols for imaging sequences, and quality improvement initiatives
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested
Requirements:
Successful completion of a JRCERT approved radiologic program
One year radiology experience
One year pediatric imaging experience
Current Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency MRTBE license
Current ARRT registration in CT (Must obtain within 1 year)
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association
