Requirements

A minimum of 6 months of recent UK experience in supporting service users with learning disabilities and associated complex needs
A valid Right to Work in the UK (we are unable to offer sponsorships)
An Enhanced child and adult DBS registered on the update service
A valid CSTF Mandatory Practical Training Certificate (completed within the last 12 months)
Employment references covering the last 3 years
A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role (for Workington role)
A driver is preferred due to the rural locations (for Penrith & Carlisle role)
Minimum of 36.5 hours per week

Job Responsibility

Supporting an adult male with learning disabilities on a 2:1 basis, helping him live as independently as possible at home and in the community
Ability to assist with de-escalation when he is feeling frightened
2:1 support for a young male with learning disabilities and complex needs
Support him with daily activities in the community as part of his education plan
Provide care and support to adults with a range of needs including learning disabilities, complex needs, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions
The focus is on promoting independence at home and in the community
