Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking Cardiologists from the United Kingdom to join our multidisciplinary cardiovascular teams. Deliver high-quality cardiac care in a public system focused on patient continuity, equity, and real impact. Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, specialist nurses, physiologists, and allied health professionals. Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions, including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure, and imaging.
Job Responsibility:
Provide expert care for a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, arrhythmias, and complex congenital or structural heart disease
Participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient care, procedural cardiology, and multidisciplinary heart team meetings
Contribute to clinical governance, research, and teaching
Supervise registrars
Contribute to service development and quality improvement
Requirements:
Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
Qualifications comparable to Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP)
UK-qualified doctors are typically eligible for simplified MCNZ registration via the Competent Authority pathway
