We are looking for a detail-oriented Buyer to join our clients team in Ronkonkoma, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing procurement processes, ensuring timely and accurate purchasing of goods and services, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This role requires expertise in procurement and purchasing practices, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the complete procurement cycle, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services
Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality and reliability
Create and process purchase orders with precision and timeliness
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as needed
Analyze procurement data using Microsoft Excel to identify trends and optimize purchasing decisions
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during purchasing activities
Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing requirements and provide solutions
Track and resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or vendor performance
Review and update procurement documentation to maintain accuracy and efficiency
Requirements:
Proven experience in a Buyer or procurement-related role
Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, vendor management, and inventory control
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Ability to create and manage purchase orders effectively
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong communication and negotiation abilities
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks
Nice to have:
Familiarity with procurement software or tools is a plus
