The Business Risk and Control Analyst II is a developing professional role focused on analyzing, monitoring, and evaluating risks and controls. This role involves policy formulation, data analysis, identifying business issues, and recommendations on policy improvements. It also entails working collaboratively within teams to effectively manage risk and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
Job Responsibility:
Provides data to support governance and the facilitation of the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA)
tracks the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the implementation of the Control Framework
involved with the identification of issue root cause and recommendations for corrective actions
conveys information in the implementation of the Lessons Learned Policy
provides data for the review and challenge process within the FLUs
involved in the assessment of the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of the MCA through controls
coordinates the adherence to the MCA Standard through controls
coordinates and contributes to the review of Operational and Compliance Risk
provides data in an analysis to identify, assess, escalate, and manage risk exposures
evaluates the Risk Appetite and monitors/assesses exposures
conveys information to identify, assess, record, and respond to Operational and Compliance Risk events
tracks governance and training to support management of Risk profiles
provides data on the risks associated with New Activities and business changes
involved with operational risk scenario analysis and stress testing
tracks risk and control assessments for programs within various risk areas
conveys information in the implementation of standards and procedures supporting sound risk management
applies knowledge of the business, products, or services to identify and implement control points and processes
appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating sound ethical judgment.
Requirements:
0-2 years relevant experience
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
self-motivated and detail oriented
good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area
develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards.
