At Diesel’s Headoffice in Milan (Italy), we are looking for a Business & Financial Controller to join our Controlling Department. The role will report directly to the Financial Controlling Manager within the European Finance Team and will work in close collaboration with both the HQ Controlling and Administration departments, as well as with local administration teams across the region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving cost-efficiency initiatives across the organization and ensuring the timely and accurate execution of closing and planning processes for the assigned countries. A key part of the role will also involve strengthening the partnership with key business stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making and financial performance improvements.

Job Responsibility:

  • perform month end closure activities, in accordance with group policy and calendar, for the European Legal Entities assigned
  • support the controlling team and the Business partner for the budget & forecast process of the Europe region
  • grant data accuracy and reliability, in accordance with Group policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and analyzing the region's performance against its business targets, budget / forecast vs actual
  • support the controlling team to build and maintain a valuable reporting package
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels within the organization

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Financial Controlling or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of SAP is required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to collaborate effectively in a matrix organization
  • Solid financial acumen and business understanding
  • Foundational knowledge of accounting principles

Nice to have:

  • additional European languages are considered a plus
  • Familiarity with Hyperion and/or Board is considered an advantage
