Join our vibrant team at our Administration Office in Surprise, AZ, as a Business Development Specialist. Your Mission: The Business Development Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of effective business development plans that will have a direct impact on our Sun Health at Home membership census goals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Complete strategic outside sales calls with current and potential referral sources that result in increased membership to Sun Health at Home (SHAH) and Vibrant Life Choices (VLC)
  • Manage the sales process by understanding prospective members' needs and educating them about Sun Health at Home's services and Vibrant Life Choice programs
  • Work assigned leads from initial contact through closing, including conducting timely home visits and providing appropriate follow-up communication
  • Must be able to work leads independently, conduct home visits, and successfully close sales to meet or exceed individual and team goals
  • Strategize with the Executive Director on creative ways to develop new opportunities and nurture existing relationships
  • Identify new referral prospects and develop strategic plans for establishing and nurturing positive business relationships
  • Interface regularly with professionals in the local area, such as fiduciaries, human resource directors, financial planners, insurance providers, social workers, ancillary care providers, non-profit organizations, senior centers, religious organizations, and related professionals
  • Schedule face-to-face meetings and provide education on Sun Health at Home to establish referral relationships
  • Conduct educational presentations to outside organizations (e.g., Rotary, clubs, etc.) to promote the product offering
  • Based on marketplace feedback and individual experience, participate in and respond to creative, results-driven marketing concepts to drive new lead generation
  • Collaborate with the Marketing department to assist in developing appropriate marketing materials for Sun Health at Home
  • Conduct market research using resources such as industry associations, marketing experts, and representatives at related organizations to assess the competitive landscape and market positioning. Provide reporting to marketing and leadership teams on market conditions and strategies for differentiating Sun Health at Home
  • Generate reports that analyze the success and effectiveness of business development efforts
  • Offer strategic insights into product potential and market trends
  • Act as a resource and support for other sales team members
  • Research, develop, and implement strategies to identify and pursue market opportunities. Assist in bringing existing products into new markets, launching new products into current markets, or introducing new products into new markets
  • Represent and uphold the brand image of the company in all interactions
  • Review and maintain familiarity with all marketing materials, including websites, sales collateral, graphics, exhibit properties, advertising, and promotional programs
  • Demonstrate the Sun Health Mission and Values

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or 3 years of relevant experience required
  • Masters preferred
  • Three or more years of experience in insurance sales, senior living sales, or healthcare environment sales preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed established referral/sales goals, preferably in a consultative sales capacity
  • Experience with CRM software (1 year) and digital marketing tools and techniques
  • Minimum 2 years in leadership capacity preferred
  • Ability to travel in own vehicle, and travel outside the office up to 75% of the time
  • current Driver's license and auto insurance is required
