Job Description:

Lead and grow strategic partnerships in Japan's dynamic pharmaceutical market. Our client, a well-established global pharmaceutical company, seeks a Business Development Manager to identify, develop, and negotiate strategic partnerships across all therapeutic areas while ensuring compliance with all regulations. You will have the opportunity to influence business strategy and shape the future of pharmaceutical collaborations in Japan.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the identification and evaluation of business development opportunities, both organically and inorganically
Develop and maintain business development strategies aligned with global objectives
Manage the entire deal lifecycle, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing
Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry
Collaborate with internal teams across multiple functions (Commercial, Legal, Finance, etc.)
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in business development preferred
Demonstrated success in identifying, evaluating, and negotiating business development transactions
Strong understanding of the Japanese pharmaceutical market and regulatory landscape
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in both Japanese and English
Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
