We are looking for a highly driven and experienced Business Development Manager – Software Services to accelerate business growth and strengthen our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in selling software development and IT services, identifying high-value opportunities, and building long-term client relationships. This role requires close collaboration with technical teams and leadership to expand tecHindustan Engineering’s software services portfolio across consulting, project-based, and contingency engagement models.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and expand market presence by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities in software development and IT services
  • Proactively reach out to prospective clients, technology partners, and decision-makers across domestic and international markets
  • Generate and qualify leads through outbound sales, networking, referrals, digital platforms, and industry events
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and manage high-impact opportunities aligned with company strategy and service offerings
  • Design and execute an effective outbound sales and business development strategy, including sales processes, pipeline management, and best practices across the organization
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular meetings and strategic discussions
  • Collaborate closely with delivery teams and account managers to support business transformation initiatives for client accounts
  • Expand client accounts by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities across software services, consulting, and engineering solutions
  • Strengthen the company’s footprint across fixed-price, time & material, consulting, and contingency-based engagement models
  • Ensure long-term client satisfaction through proactive engagement and value-driven solutions
  • Lead pre-sales activities including requirement discovery, solution positioning, and proposal development
  • Create compelling sales presentations, pitch decks, proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, and solution documents
  • Support deal structuring and pricing through detailed business-value and effort analysis, in collaboration with technical teams
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing models, contracts, and statements of work for proactive bids and proposals
  • Coordinate and manage pitch logistics, internal reviews, and client-facing presentations
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, competitor activity, and evolving customer needs in the software services space
  • Provide regular market insights and strategic recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Participate in continuous learning through certifications, industry events, networking, and professional development activities
  • Share market intelligence and best practices across teams to support organizational growth

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of B2B sales success in software development or IT services
  • Strong experience in consultative selling, lead generation, pipeline management, and deal closure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation and negotiation capabilities
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), delivery models, and engagement structures
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
