Are you passionate about driving business growth in the fast-evolving world of AI and data platforms? HSO is seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive to generate new business and drive revenue growth across New Zealand, specializing in AI and data platform solutions. You’ll play a critical role in identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities, collaborating with delivery and product teams, and executing strategic sales plans.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities through targeted industry prospecting and lead generation, leveraging our strategic partner network
  • Develop a deep understanding of HSO’s product offerings and how they address client needs
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals, demonstrations, and sales presentations that communicate the value of AI and data platform solutions
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, scope, and quote solutions tailored to client expectations
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and the competitive landscape
  • Actively contribute to best practices and continual improvement at HSO, including global engagement and social media presence
  • Engage with clients in New Zealand, with opportunities to work with Australia, Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America
  • Prioritize workload to ensure high standards and urgency for business-critical tasks
  • Support and help develop a positive workplace culture
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience closing sales opportunities with enterprise customers in technology services or software consulting
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets, design strategies, and implement plans that drive results
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, data analytics, and related platforms
  • Analytical problem-solving skills, balancing stakeholder and technical requirements
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience with CRMs, sales tools, forecasting, and Microsoft Azure offerings
  • Ability to work independently and remotely as part of a fast-paced, high-growth team
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred
