Job Description:

The Business Continuity Specialist Advisor plays a vital role in ensuring organizational resilience through effective Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, and Crisis Management. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across departments are essential. Certifications such as CBCP or MBCI are valuable. This position requires a proactive mindset and attention to detail.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develops, tests, documents, implements and maintains Business Continuity (BC) / Disaster Recovery (DR) planning processes for restoration/recovery of Operational Business Processes and Information Technology (IT) systems in the event of natural/man-made disasters (e.g., earthquakes, fires, power outages, and power surges)
  • Assists internal teams and external clients in all phases of the recovery process
  • Works with Account Delivery Managers and leadership to enhance disaster recovery effectiveness
  • Works across functions and teams to ensure appropriate BCP/DR strategies have been designed and implemented

Requirements:

  • 8 years of experience in Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Risk Assessment, Disaster Recovery Planning (Familiarity with IT recovery strategies, RTO/RPO concepts)
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Crisis Management & Emergency Response planning
  • Minimum 4 -5 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance which includes knowledge of ISO 22301, ISO27001, SOX, PCI-DSS, and industry-specific regulations
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Testing & Exercising where the resource can design and run tabletop exercises and full-scale drills
  • Minimum 4 -5 years of experience in Documentation in creating and maintaining BCP/DR plans, policies, and procedures
  • Minimum 4 -5 years of experience in IT Knowledge who understand Wintel/UNIX/Linux environments, backup systems, and cloud recovery solutions
  • Minimum 4 – 5 years of experience in Project Management who organizes multi-phase continuity programs and coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Strategic thinking and adaptability under pressure

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with vendor management and third-party continuity assessments
