The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct in-depth meetings, workshops, and other elicitation techniques to gather, analyze, and document business requirements from various stakeholders
Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flows
Analyze and evaluate existing business processes, systems, and data to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
Facilitate requirements prioritization with stakeholders and manage changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle
Work closely with Business, developers, and quality assurance teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and solution design
Participate in the design and prototyping of solutions, providing business context and ensuring alignment with user needs
Support the technical teams in understanding the business impact of technical decisions and trade-offs
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user stories, process diagrams, and data models
Communicate complex business and technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences
Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders on project status, requirements, and proposed solutions
Follow up on BOW items on day to day bases and help move forward on items without much delay
Collaborate with QA teams to develop test plans and test cases, ensuring that solutions meet specified requirements
Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) by providing business context and validating functionality against business needs
Identify and track defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust and effective collaboration
Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and third-party vendors
Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate conflict resolution when necessary
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
2-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a relevant industry (e.g., Financial Services, Technology, Healthcare)
Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
Experience with process modeling tools (e.g., Visio)
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL is often beneficial
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is a plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and organizational skills
