Building Services Technician

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests
• communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
• perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment
• visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
• carry equipment
• identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs
• maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
• communicate each day’s activities and problems to other shifts
• display knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building
• perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and cleanup
• test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and other items
• use Lockout/Tagout system
• perform repairs on landscaping and sprinklers
• display basic computer skills
• follow company safety policies and procedures
• complete safety training and certifications
• maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
• welcome and assist guests
• develop positive relationships with coworkers
• perform physical tasks such as lifting and climbing
• enter work-related data using computers
• perform other reasonable duties as requested

• Driver’s License
• basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building
• experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
• high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
