Job Description:

An ambitious and well-established construction consultancy is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated BSA Principal Designer to join their expanding team in the North. This flexible position offers a choice between regional or national work, making it ideal for professionals who want control over their travel and project exposure.

Job Responsibility:

  • Acting as Principal Designer in line with the Building Safety Act
  • Advising on building safety compliance from early design through to construction
  • Collaborating closely with in-house CDM and design professionals
  • Working across a mix of commercial, residential, and public sector projects
  • Flexible approach to travel – local project focus or wider national remit

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations
  • Background in Architecture or CDM Principal Designer roles
  • NEBOSH Construction, TechIOSH or IMaPS/CMaPS preferred
  • RIBA or similar is a bonus
  • Capable of providing clear safety and design advice at all stages
  • Based anywhere in the North of England – travel and office days flexible
