Job Description:

He/she is fully responsible for the design development and integration of the whole Building activities within a project, reporting to PEM or, if present, to the Plant Design Manager, and may coordinate other Engineers, Specialist and Draftsmen. He/she leads, when deemed necessary, the relevant detail design activities and services connected to procurement, construction and commissioning of the disciplines within Buildings, as requested by the Head of Department.

Job Responsibility:

  • Guarantee the quality of the documentation prepared relevant to all the Building technical disciplines, in accordance to the Project contractual requirements, the budget assigned and the schedule
  • Prepare and discuss with the Project Team the execution strategy of the project and assure its application throughout the entire project life
  • Guarantee the coordination with the other Project Leaders on the projects, and coordinate the different engineering centres involved for the Buildings activities
  • Supervise the multi-disciplinary engineering activities of Buildings on the assigned projects and the related critical engineering cycles
  • Report to PEM or to the Plant Design Manager concerning the status, planning and crucial issues of the activities
  • Interact with Client representatives and Vendors for all the technical topics impacting on the project
  • Guarantee assistance to the inspection and construction departments upon request as per project needs
  • Cooperate with the project team to prepare and maintain the project procedures, guidelines and standards
  • Support the Group Leaders and the Head of Department in guaranteeing the preparation, continuous updating and application of the standards, the procedures and the operative instructions of the Department
  • Keep himself/herself up to date about the specific discipline

Requirements:

  • University degree or diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent
  • Significant experience in the industrial construction of large or XL gas plants
  • Covered a similar role in at least 2-3 projects of comparable size
  • A minimum of 12-18 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail, management skills
  • Team-oriented skills, self-motivation, and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
