Looking for an enthusiastic person to join our dedicated team in providing support to adolescents in our community.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver the ABC group-based and ABC Plus programs, including providing services outside standard business hours and on weekends, to meet client and family needs
  • Educate young people and families on family violence impacts, helping them develop positive relationship skills and providing a safe environment for adolescents to manage conflict
  • Utilize the Advantaged Thinking model for a contemporary coaching approach to case management, prioritizing the voices of young people
  • Conduct ongoing individual risk assessment, safety planning, and behavioural management strategies for adolescents and their families, applying the MARAM framework
  • Actively participate in the FBC Community of Practice and the AVITH Extended Afterhours Program (including an on-call roster) to provide collaborative support and de-escalation for young people and families

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the impacts of Family Violence with a particular focus on adolescent family violence in the home
  • Experience working effectively with adolescents presenting with high risk and difficult behaviours
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Advantaged Thinking model
  • Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • Working with Children Check
  • Police Check
  • Minimum requirement of Diploma of Community Services or other relevant qualifications and experience appropriate to the field
