Job Description:

For a European leader in processing freshly harvested fruit and vegetables into convenient food products, we are seeking a skilled Breakdown Technician to join their team in Bree, Belgium. In this role, you will resolve electrical and mechanical failures in production machines and installations, perform preventive maintenance tasks, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. You will work in a 2-shift or night-shift system, collaborating closely with a team of five colleagues to maintain efficient production processes in a structured and dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical failures in production machines and installations
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal machine performance
  • Provide technical support and propose improvements to enhance production efficiency
  • Report technical changes and updates in compliance with company procedures
  • Collaborate with a team of five colleagues to maintain seamless operations

Requirements:

  • Technical education at the bachelor level (industrial engineering) or equivalent experience
  • Proficient knowledge of electrics, pneumatics, and mechanics
  • Experience with PLC controls (Siemens and Schneider) is required
  • Prior experience with food industry machinery is an advantage
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Flexibility, responsiveness, and a solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a structured environment
  • Own transportation (car, scooter, or bike)
