Job Description:

In this vital role, you will serve as the operational backbone for projects that build our communities. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and competitive pricing for New Build homes, Social Housing, and essential Public Sector projects like schools and hospitals. By removing administrative friction and protecting margins, you will help our branches provide a faster, more reliable service to our customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operational Support: Act as the bridge between central support functions and our branch networks, ensuring all 'mandatory information' is captured and audit trails are flawless
  • Pricing Strategy: Manage net pricing, supplier claim backs, and margin protection to ensure we remain the 'Customer Choice'
  • Data Analysis: Analyse 'Lost Order' data and monitor competitor trends to provide strategic recommendations for the business
  • Stakeholder Management: Influence and navigate complex conversations regarding margins and supplier support with Branch Managers and external partners
  • Serve as the operational backbone for projects that build our communities
  • Ensure accurate and competitive pricing for New Build homes, Social Housing, and essential Public Sector projects like schools and hospitals

Requirements:

  • Proven commercial expertise with a background in pricing or business support ideally gained within the building materials, merchanting, or construction sectors
  • Strong leadership capabilities in managing administrative functions
  • Consistent track record of meeting strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Analytical rigor to transform complex data into actionable insights
  • Deep understanding of pricing mechanics, net pricing, and margin protection within a distribution model
