We are looking for an experienced Benefits Coordinator to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of employee benefits, including retirement plans, leave of absence programs, and compliance with federal and state regulations. This is a long-term contract position with the opportunity for hybrid remote work and occasional on-site responsibilities.
Job Responsibility:
Administer employee benefits programs, including retirement plans, leave of absence policies, and health insurance
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including COBRA, FMLA, and Section 125
Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefits and leave processes
Develop and deliver presentations to communicate benefit offerings and policy updates
Collaborate with internal teams to address gaps in benefits administration and improve overall efficiency
Utilize Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft to manage benefits-related documentation and reporting
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in benefits administration
Assist with onboarding and training sessions related to benefits programs
Respond to employee inquiries with empathy and confidentiality, offering clear explanations of policies
Prepare detailed reports and analysis on benefits usage and program effectiveness
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration and absence management
Proficient knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting benefits programs, including COBRA, FMLA, and Section 125
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver presentations
Detail-oriented with proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Experience with Microsoft Office applications and PeopleSoft software
Nice to have:
Familiarity with out-of-state leave of absence policies
