We are looking for a detail-oriented REMOTE Benefits Administrator to join our team in Irondale, Alabama. This is a short-term contract position where you will play a key role in managing employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will assist employees with enrollment, claims, and inquiries while maintaining accurate records and supporting payroll systems.
Job Responsibility:
Administer various employee benefits programs such as health insurance, dental and vision plans, life insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
Maintain and update employee records to ensure accurate payroll deductions and compliance with benefits policies
Assist employees with benefit-related claims and inquiries, providing clear and timely support
Verify monthly insurance premium statements and compile statistical data on claims, premiums, and costs
Coordinate workers' compensation claims and collaborate with third-party administrators for efficient resolution
Ensure compliance with unemployment claims documentation and required employee notices
Support the renewal process for health, life, and retirement plans by gathering necessary data
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and related legal requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications. Excel skills are required
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
High school diploma and at least two years of experience in benefits administration
Successful completion of a motor vehicle check, and all candidates required to undergo pre-employment assessments
