Banquet Server

• Offer pre-determined menu selections to each table
• maintain knowledge of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods
• Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests
• check completed orders with guest’s original order
• Coordinate food timings
• Transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
• Assist in set-up of linen, china, glass, silver, and accent pieces for each function according to the banquet event order
• Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations

• At least 2 years of high-volume banquet serving experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
• Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job
• Knowledge of Opera and Micros POS preferred/is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 lbs
• US work authorization is required
