The Banquet Barback supports banquet beverage operations by assisting bartenders with setup, restocking, and maintenance of portable bars during banquets, receptions, and special events at Dellshire Resort. This position plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in ensuring efficient, organized, and seamless bar service. The Banquet Barback upholds the resort’s high standards of hospitality through teamwork, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with setup and breakdown of banquet bars in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, glassware, garnishes, and bar supplies throughout events
Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, storage rooms, and beverage stations
Ensure portable bars are fully equipped and operational before event start times
Replace kegs, empty trash, and replenish ice as needed during service
Support bartenders by preparing garnishes, organizing backstock, and refilling beverage products
Transport beverages, glassware, and equipment safely between storage areas and event spaces
Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with post-event cleanup and restocking
Follow all health, sanitation, and safety guidelines
Report any maintenance issues or supply shortages to the Banquet Manager or Captain
Provide courteous assistance to guests and team members while representing the Dellshire brand with professionalism
Requirements:
Previous barback or banquet support experience preferred
hospitality or event experience a plus
Strong work ethic with attention to detail and ability to multitask
Ability to lift and transport heavy items safely and efficiently
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Must be at least 18 years of age (21+ preferred)
Food Handler and Alcohol Service Certifications required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule
