Job Responsibility:
prepare baked goods including doughs, cakes, cookies, pastries, and desserts
maintain inventory and cleanliness of bakers’ work area
perform front and back of house food service duties including barista operations and dish upkeep
provide outstanding customer service
prepare and serve meals according to menus, recipes, or instructions
clean kitchen and equipment and maintain sanitary work environment
keep accurate records including meal counts
Requirements:
one year of experience as a baker in an institution, restaurant, hotel or commercial baker
one year of food service work or cooking experience
one year of experience as a cook in a commercial food service facility or possession of a certificate of completion in culinary arts or foods and hospitality service from a certified community college or technical school
ability to obtain a Lane County Food Handler’s card
ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
