Job Description:

Backend Software Engineer role at Atlassian focused on creating and maintaining scalable, distributed systems, building integrations, and collaborating across teams in Agile practices.

Job Responsibility:

Create integrations with Atlassian's Scaled Agile Management systems, prioritizing reliability
develop REST APIs to enhance Atlassian's primary customer interactions
implement monitoring for backend services and establish CI/CD pipelines
continuously deliver features and services on a daily basis within a highly scalable, globally distributed environment
collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers, and designers
apply expertise in Cloud Architecture, modern object-oriented programming languages, and database technologies to develop high-quality software
conduct thorough code reviews focusing on readability, testing, documentation, reliability, security, and performance
ensure comprehensive visibility, error tracking, and monitoring for high-performance backend services
engage in Agile software development practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demo sessions
drive implementation of enhancements to authentication/authorization service
implement replacement of old and inefficient session implementation with cache provider solution

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related field
two (2) years of experience with software development formulating and analyzing software requirements, CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery), REST architecture, data structures, Docker and Git
one (1) year of experience with Java, C#, .NET Framework, Visual Studio, SQL and/or T-SQL, Azure Services, Unit Testing, Web Services, Agile Methodologies, Docker, Kubernetes, YAML and NGINX
technical interview must be passed
