The international IT сompany Andersen invites a Backend Developer (Node.js) to join our dynamic and highly skilled professional team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend services using Node.js
  • Implementing streaming and event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka
  • Building and optimizing RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal and external integrations
  • Developing data-intensive features with PostgreSQL, ensuring query optimization and reliability
  • Designing and supporting microservice architecture, including inter-service communication
  • Writing unit, integration, and load tests to ensure system reliability
  • Collaborating with DevOps and frontend teams to deliver scalable, production-ready systems

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Software Developer for 3+ years
  • Commercial experience with Node.js (Nest.js / Express.js) for 2+ years
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming
  • Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (schemas, indexing, query optimization, transactions)
  • Practical experience integrating and maintaining Apache Kafka (producers/consumers, topics, partitions)
  • Familiarity with microservice architecture and message-driven communication patterns
  • Experience implementing authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2)
  • Understanding of TDD principles, writing tests with frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Supertest
  • Proficiency with Git and experience in collaborative development workflows (PRs, code reviews)
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above

Nice to have:

  • Experience with TypeScript in production
  • Hands-on experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or NATS for caching and messaging
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD setup
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud providers
  • Familiarity with event sourcing and CQRS patterns
  • Contribution to open-source backend tools or internal SDKs
