Job Description:

This role involves working as part of the Global Cloud Services AWS Adoption team, which provides support to project teams worldwide in adopting AWS services. The position emphasizes development, supporting varied workloads, and leveraging cloud and DevOps principles within an agile environment. Engineers will take on incident management, development, compliance, security practices, testing, and global rotational coverage responsibilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading major incident investigations
  • Providing on-call support
  • Managing projects with junior colleagues
  • Working with App Teams to deploy their application to AWS
  • Developing in Python and automating solutions
  • Writing Terraform scripts
  • Upgrading existing and developing new security controls
  • Compliance dashboard enhancements
  • Providing 24/7 global support and coverage (rotational)
  • Balancing development and support tasks with creative autonomy.

Requirements:

  • Python
  • AWS Services
  • CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, Git, Ansible
  • Terraform
  • Broad experience working across many AWS services
  • Security is a fundamental aspect of delivering solutions
  • Practical understanding of DevOps practises and Agile working techniques
  • You build it, you own it, you support it mentality
  • Demonstrable enterprise infrastructure delivery success stories
  • Good understanding of Linux and/or Windows operating systems
  • Proficient experience with CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, Git, Ansible.
