Job Description:

FinXL is seeking an Automation Tools Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading enterprise client on a key transformation engagement. Must hold current NV1 Security Clearance. Can be based from Melbourne, Brisbane, or Canberra.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with the transition of automation tools from incumbent to internal teams
  • Configure and optimize platforms like Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet, and Kubernetes
  • Develop transition plans detailing timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Create automation scripts, workflows, and playbooks to enhance efficiency
  • Troubleshoot automation issues and provide swift resolution to minimize impact
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate platforms across the enterprise
  • Ensure automation activities comply with security policies and best practices

Requirements:

  • Must be an Australian Citizen with a current Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance
  • 1-2 years of experience managing automation tools in enterprise environments
  • Proven experience transitioning platforms from service providers to in-house
  • Hands-on expertise with Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, or Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to document configurations, workflows, and setup procedures
