Strong knowledge of JES2, OMVS, SMS, TSS (Top Secret Security), performance monitoring, and REXX scripting
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders

Job Responsibility

Perform z/OS Systems Programming tasks, including configuration, installation, and maintenance of z/OS operating environments
Manage JES2, z/OS Unix System Services (OMVS), and Storage Management Subsystem (SMS)
Administer and support TSS (Top Secret Security), ensuring appropriate access control and security compliance
Monitor system performance and perform initial analysis of performance issues to provide solutions and optimizations
Write and maintain REXX scripts to automate system tasks and processes
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to configure and maintain TLS (certificates, SSL, RSA Keys, SFTP, FTPS) for secure communication
Utilize SMP/E for system modification and management of z/OS environments
Create and maintain system-level documentation, technical designs, and support artifacts

Very strong Parallel Sysplex skills
z/OS, TSO/ISPF, USS, SDSF, JCL, RACF
Installation of several different IBM and CA products
Extensive experience of installing many IBM and CA products
Deep mastery of z/OS architecture, including IPL procedures, JES2/JES3 configurations, Sysplex management, SMF data collection, and parmlib customization
