Job Responsibility:

  • Works on engagements, to include financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, agreed-upon procedures, and other process as assigned by audit supervisors/managers
  • Performs detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances and prepares effective and clear work papers
  • Develops an understanding of the accounting and auditing principles relevant to individual client engagements
  • Participates in engagement planning process
  • Anticipates problem areas of engagement and questions that will arise
  • Assists with complicated segments of audit and accounting engagements
  • Proficient in preparing financial statements using the firm’s software programs
  • Communicates to supervisor all important developments on engagement and analyzes problems and recommends solution
  • Maintains general knowledge of economic and political trends of possible tax or other legislation that could affect business client

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • advanced degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of Audit experience at a public accounting firm
  • CPA or working towards CPA strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and accounting software applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
