We are looking for a skilled Attorney to join our team in O'Fallon, Illinois. As part of a nationally recognized litigation firm, you will handle diverse and complex civil cases, focusing on areas such as toxic torts, product liability, and commercial litigation. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior attorneys and clients, delivering high-quality legal services in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and oversee a litigation caseload independently, ensuring progress and resolution of cases
  • Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses thoroughly for both deposition and trial
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests, pleadings, and motions with precision
  • Analyze discovery materials and requests to build strong case strategies
  • Collaborate on trial preparation, providing comprehensive support during trial proceedings
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of billable time
  • Represent clients effectively in local and national accounts within the state
  • Work closely with clients and team members to address legal challenges and achieve favorable outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and procedures while handling complex litigation matters

Requirements:

  • Hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Possess a minimum of three years of experience in general litigation, complex litigation, toxic tort liability, or environmental liability
  • Be licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois or other relevant jurisdictions
  • Demonstrate experience in motion practice and conducting depositions
  • Exhibit proficiency in leading plaintiff and expert depositions
  • Showcase strong research and writing abilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively
  • Display excellent analytical skills to address intricate legal issues
