Job Description:

Our Property Litigation team, which is based within our Real Estate department, is seeking an Associate / Senior Associate (2 years+ PQE) to join our rapidly growing team. The team acts for NHS organisations, local government, independent health and social care providers, emergency services providers and primary healthcare providers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Advising on restrictive covenants and easements for site disposals
  • Handling 1954 Act security of tenure and lease renewals
  • Court action to remove a ‘bed blocker’ for an NHS trust
  • Removing squatters from properties
  • Court proceedings and arbitrations involving GP partnership disputes
  • Handling multi-million pound dilapidations disputes
  • Managing break notices to facilitate estate re-organisation
  • Judicial review of planning decisions
  • Recovery of arrears from commercial tenants
  • Delivering clear advice and practical recommendations to clients
  • Contributing to business development
  • Providing constructive supervision to juniors

Requirements:

  • 2 years+ PQE
  • Property litigation experience
  • Excellent legal and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for the firm and our work
