The Producer is responsible for translating creative ideas into project plans and deliverables across their specific discipline(s) of expertise. In addition to fundamental producer skills (listed below), Production at Arc requires solid critical thinking and analytical skills, the ability to work independently, as well as a passion for guiding creative ideas from brief through project launch. The ideal candidate for this position will have ambitions of work that pushes creative and technological limits and experience in delivering a variety of integrated projects completed on time, within budget and to Arc’s ‘irresistible commerce’ creative standards.
Job Responsibility:
Assist production department in delivering excellence across all aspects of production including scoping and ball-parking creative concepts, building detailed project schedules, managing project scope, researching and securing production resources, quality controlling all deliverables, maintaining project documentation and communication with holistic project teams
Responsible for ‘managing up’ to appropriate Senior Producer, Production Supervisor, or Executive Producer and proactively seeking support/guidance when needed
Responsible for learning basics of integrated production terminology and processes (ie: color profiles, resolution, file specifications) across a variety of mediums
Able to research, identify, select, and negotiate with production suppliers (within The Pub or external) based on the scope, budget, and timeline of project and which partner is best suited to execute the creative vision
Communicates proactively with Creative, Business Leadership, Production Ops and Media partners on all aspects of the production including milestones, deliverables, and due dates to keep the production process flowing smoothly
Partners with more seasoned producers to understand, interpret, and articulate licensing verbiage for a wide array of mediums (photography, illustration, stock, music, talent, videography) and usage implications to the full team
Responsible for building critical relationships and maintaining the agency’s reputation and standard of excellence with the external production industry
Directly reports to a specific Senior Producer, Production Supervisor, or Executive Producer, but functions as a part of the collective Pool Model of producers, available and able to work on any account across the agency depending on skills, need, talent fit and client assignment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
0-2 years in production at an agency, production company or similar environment
Effective negotiation and positive-minded problem-solving skills required
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment
Ability to collaborate with internal co-workers and external clients and vendors at a variety of levels and across functions
A demonstrated track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical-thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees
Highly organized with a keen sense of attention to detail
Exceptional initiative and follow-through skills
After-hours work and overnight traveling to shoots and post sessions required
