Job Description:

This role involves working under the HSBC Technology department to lead technical design for a resilient platform architecture, collaborating with various teams, developing machine learning applications, and adhering to DevOps practices. It requires significant experience in IT development with expertise in GCP, AWS, Azure, Generative AI, SAS, Java, and DevOps tools like Jenkins and Terraform.

Job Responsibility:

Leading all the technical design and embedding of a resilient solution as platform architecture that is reusable
Work effectively to lead a Team, collaborate with management team and/or other development teams across borders, work effectively under pressure
Work with Business team to understand the requirement and prepare/interpret business design document if required, develop technical specification documents and/or develop system accordingly
Design, Build and Deploy the machine learning application & platform, leading the capability and feature roadmap, and providing support to the existing solution and products
Work closely with both local and offshore teams on the development and ensure successful project delivery with good quality and align to HSBC change management and release process
Apply DevOps practice and tooling in the daily development activities and align to HSBC IT engineering standards
Proposal improvement suggestion on project deliveries
Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates
Work stream(s) independently in a reasonable timeframe in case of project need
Drive for the problem resolving to meet the service SLA or project timeline

Requirements:

Candidate should hold a university graduate certificate majored in IT or equivalent experience
A minimum 8 years of significant working experience in software design, development and testing, as well as relevant IT development, in a global environment
Strong machine learning / AI capabilities capabilities and end to end machine learning solution design & development capabilities, plus Environment / Devops capabilities
Proven ability to make complex business decisions with authority, even amidst uncertainty, while considering long-term risks and implications
Essential technical expertise and an enterprise mindset, including proficiency in GCP, AWS, Azure, Generative AI, SAS, infrastructure, and APIs
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective partnerships with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders
Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a talent for deconstructing complex issues into manageable components
Experience in end-to-end product or service delivery, from ideation to production, is highly desirable
Experience on database, PL/SQL and query performance turning. NoSQL experience is a plus
Experience on Linux based system and Middleware (WAS Liberty, MQ, Container - K8S, Docker), Adminitration knowledge is a plus
Understand DevOps and Agile practices, experiences with CI/CD solutions. Have relevant Devops tooling experience (Ansible, Jenkins, TerraForm) and be able to setup pipeline using those tools is a plus
Good communication in spoken and written English and Mandarin
A good team player with strong analytical/troubleshooting skills, and self-motivated
Experience on Java / Frontend development is a plus

Nice to have:

Experience in end-to-end product or service delivery, from ideation to production
Experience on database, PL/SQL and query performance turning. NoSQL experience is a plus
Experience on Linux based system and Middleware (WAS Liberty, MQ, Container - K8S, Docker), Adminitration knowledge is a plus
