Job Description:

Telstra is hiring for an Assistant Store Manager at their Warringah Mall location in Sydney, Australia. This role involves supporting the Store Manager in leading and coaching a retail team to achieve sales targets and high customer service standards while fostering a positive store culture.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the induction of new team members
Coach the store’s team to meet and exceed store targets
Support the team with customer query escalations
Act as Store Manager when needed
Execute business initiatives in store to meet financial and customer key metrics
Motivate the team and foster a positive store culture
Organise the store floor and team’s work schedules

Requirements:

Previous experience in a retail leadership or assistant management role
Ability to energise and drive a retail team to exceed sales targets and KPIs with demonstrated success
Capability to lead from the front and influence and build rapport with a diverse and varied team
Ability to resolve customer issues effectively and creatively
Excellent communication skills and ability to support the Store Manager in guiding the team through change
