EKFB is looking to recruit an Assistant Site Engineer with Earthworks and/or Structures experience to join the team in the Calvert area, working on an 80km section of the new HS2 high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
Job Responsibility:
Liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works activities to the required standards, programme and budget
Work with the other team members of the setting-out team
Be responsible for the performance and development of the junior engineers
Identify and resolve technical problems on site in liaison with the senior team and Sub-Agent
Monitor and coordinate subcontractors in the performance of their works, ensuring they are completed to the contractual requirements
Ensure the team have all current information and resources required to carry out their duties
Assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting
Requirements:
HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE)
Experience in Earthworks and/or Structures is essential
Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills
CSCS card required (Black, Gold, White, White/Yellow, Red Experienced or Red Provisional (6 months))
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle required
