Responsible for overseeing the safety and security of Toyota-Arena, Ontario Convention Centers and ONT Field patrons, employees, and assets.
Job Responsibility:
Be able to supervise the building’s 24/7 posts (Loading Dock, Dean Admin, and Command Center)
Be able to supervise the building’s event security posts on all levels and all premium service areas (Including back of house areas)
Assist with updating the department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all posts
Knowledge of the building’s Fire Alarm systems
Knowledgeable of the building’s CCTV systems and operations
Knowledgeable of building’s x-ray systems, magnetometers, and operations
Deploy staff for events. Assign appropriate shifts, breaks, and necessary equipment
Train staff in basic Guest Service and Security skills. Actively monitor staff interactions with venue guests, clients, artists/athletes, and employees at all events to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable entertainment experience for all
Provide leadership and guidance to staff. Serve as mentor/coach to all Security employees
Effectively communicate escalated employee issues to Security Management Team
Administer appropriate performance reviews, counseling, and corrective action documentation as needed to ensure compliance with company/department policies
Exhibit the ability to accept responsibility for the performance & conduct of the entire security team assigned to the deployment. Administer deployments and set staff positioning
Exhibit leadership qualities, motivate staff & lead by example
Strong knowledge of Time Management System scheduling software, (i.e., ABI)
Perform all other duties as assigned
Ensure enforcement and compliance of the venue’s policies
Assist with directional and informational inquiries. Serve as the point of contact for complaints/issues
Appropriately document all major/minor incidents
Perform various duties, often changing from one task to another, without the loss of efficiency or composure
All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
At least 2-4 years of experience supervising and leading subordinates
Assist in the creation and distribution of Employee Corrective Actions
Work with Full and Part-time Supervisors to ensure their success for all event and non-event times
Ability to communicate professionally, verbally, and in written form
Assist with supervising employees and operations in all areas of responsibility
Most tasks are performed independently with minimum moderate supervision
Strong computer skills are required to operate and troubleshoot security system software
Must be able to stand, sit in one location for at least four hours at a time, crouch, and bend throughout daily activities
Must have a flexible schedule, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
The ability to demonstrate dependability and reliability by being punctual, working assigned and varying shifts, and completing responsibilities in a timely manner are required
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Must have the ability to read, write, and understand English in a working environment
Ability to adapt and work effectively in various parts of the facility
Must have and maintain a Current California Issued Guard Card
