Job Description:

A well-established global property and construction consultancy is currently looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their central London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual at the early stages of their QS career to gain hands-on experience across a range of high-profile commercial, hospitality, and residential developments. The consultancy supports a wide mix of private sector clients, offering clear progression, a structured APC programme, and mentoring from senior professionals in a collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in the preparation of cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation
Support contract administration and cost reporting under JCT and NEC contracts
Contribute to procurement processes and tender evaluations
Attend client and project team meetings
Assist in managing variations, valuations, and final accounts
Work collaboratively with senior surveyors across multiple project stages

Requirements:

1-3 years’ experience in a consultancy or client-side quantity surveying role
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a RICS-accredited discipline
Familiarity with both pre- and post-contract responsibilities
Eager to work towards MRICS chartership
Strong communication and organisational skills
Enthusiastic about working on complex projects in a fast-paced London environment
