A well-established, independent construction consultancy is looking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to join its growing London team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is already working within a construction consultancy or professional services environment and is looking to take the next step in their career. You'll gain exposure to larger, more complex projects while working closely with experienced Project Managers and Directors. The business delivers schemes across the industrial, data centre and commercial sectors, offering a strong pipeline of work, hands-on responsibility and a clear pathway towards chartership and progression.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting the delivery of projects from early design stages through to completion
Supporting the management of projects across the full lifecycle, from inception through to handover
Assisting with project planning, reporting, risk management and governance processes
Coordinating with clients, design teams, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
Supporting NEC contract administration and maintaining key project documentation
Attending and contributing to client, design and site meetings
Monitoring progress and helping to ensure projects are delivered to agreed time, cost and quality objectives
Requirements:
1-3 years' experience within a construction consultancy or client-side project environment
A degree in a construction-related discipline such as Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or similar
Experience supporting the delivery of construction projects and familiarity with consultancy processes and project governance
Exposure to contract administration (NEC knowledge beneficial) and experience working in client-facing environments
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and confidence managing multiple stakeholders
A proactive attitude and a clear ambition to work towards professional chartership (APM, RICS or similar)
Previous experience within a construction consultancy or professional services environment is essential
