Job Description:

We are hiring for an Assistant Manager position at Circle K. Join our team and create a career in management within a fast-paced, fun environment. You will assist the Store Manager in various operational tasks, hire and motivate your team, handle merchandising, and deliver exceptional customer service. Physical and leadership tasks are involved. Retail and food-related experience are a plus. We offer a variety of benefits and a competitive salary.

Job Responsibility:

Assisting the store manager with oversight of the stationstore operations
hiring, supervising and working with staff to accomplish daily tasks, bookkeeping, and merchandising
maintaining high standards and providing fast and friendly service to customers
executing food program
setting an example for staff
displaying a sense of urgency, patience, and leadership

Requirements:

leading a team of employees/management
recruiting, interviewing, and hiring
delegation and follow-up
teaching and motivating others
planning and organizing
communicating your plans and ideas
cash-handling and bookkeeping
problem solving
advocating and empathizing
safety and security
standing and/or walking for up to 8 hours
lifting and/or carrying up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes in a shift
occasionally lifting and/or carrying up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level
pushing/pulling with arms up to a force of 20 pounds
bending at the waist with some twisting up to one hour a shift
grasping, reaching, and manipulating objects with hands
climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs
