Assists in managing the loss prevention department, including protecting property assets, guests, and employees, training staff in emergency procedures, and implementing safety and prevention measures. Promotes guest and employee satisfaction while achieving financial targets.
Job Responsibility:
Assists in conducting hazard and risk assessments at the property
Complies with applicable federal, state and local law and safety regulations
Maintains logs, certifications and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures
Supervises and reviews initial incident investigations
Follows proper key control guidelines in loss prevention
Promotes and implements accident and fire prevention procedures
Conducts patrols including inspection tours
Follows up on all unusual activities
Handles complaints, settles disputes, resolves grievances, or negotiates
Promotes action plans to monitor and control risk
Oversees all loss prevention operations including patrol process, emergency response, investigations, shipping and receiving processes, electronic key system, and other responsibilities
Assists with first aid program
Assists with the claims process and monitors General Liability and Worker’s Compensation cases
Works closely with Meeting Planners to facilitate a safe experience for guests
Interviews, selects and trains employees
Appraises employee performance
Monitors employee attendance and records absences/tardiness
Helps direct supervisors to achieve development goals
Conducts annual performance appraisals
Meets quality standards and customer expectations
Develops and teaches training programs
Inspects and critiques department performance
Provides exceptional customer service
Develops liaison with local law enforcement and emergency services
Informs and/or updates executives and co-workers on relevant information
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
3 years experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major
1 year experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area
