Job Description:

Assists in the management of the daily functions of the department to provide protection of property assets, employees, guests and property. Maintains logs, certifications and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures. Assists in the training of staff in established emergency procedures and implements accident and fire prevention procedures. Promotes guest and employee satisfaction while achieving the operating budget.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in management of daily department functions for protection of property assets, employees, guests and property
  • Maintain logs, certifications and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assist in training staff in established emergency procedures
  • Implement accident and fire prevention procedures
  • Conduct hazard and risk assessments including quarterly OSHA/SAFETY audits
  • Supervise and review initial incident investigations
  • Follow proper key control guidelines
  • Promote and implement accident and fire prevention procedures
  • Conduct patrols of property interior and exterior
  • Handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances
  • Oversee loss prevention operations including patrol process, emergency response, investigations
  • Assist with first aid program for guests and employees
  • Monitor General Liability and Worker's Compensation cases
  • Work with Meeting Planners to facilitate safe guest experiences

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in security/loss prevention or related professional area
  • OR Bachelor's degree from accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major with 1 year experience in security/loss prevention or related professional area
  • Experience in conducting hazard and risk assessments
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local law and safety regulations
  • Experience with incident investigations
  • Proper key control knowledge
  • Experience with accident and fire prevention procedures
  • Ability to handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve conflicts
  • Experience with claims process and monitoring General Liability and Worker's Compensation cases

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with Meeting Planners
  • Liaison experience with local law enforcement and emergency services
  • Formal educational or training program development experience
