Job Description:

The Assistant General Manager assists in overseeing hotel operations including guest service, engineering, rooms, food & beverage, accounting, human resources, and other areas as assigned. The position emphasizes leadership, operational excellence, and goal achievement to ensure quality service and financial success.

Job Responsibility:

Assist General Manager in all hotel operations including guest service, engineering, rooms, food & beverage, accounting, and human resources
responsibility for specific hotel department as assigned
direct operations and align with leadership directives, brand standards, and local/national regulations
ensure quality service and financial goals
recommend budgets and business plans
manage staff and unite team to achieve goals
impress guests with quality and timely service.

Requirements:

High school education plus a degree in hotel management, business, or related major
advanced knowledge of housekeeping/hotel services principles and practices
five or more years of related experience
substantial and successful track record in hotel management while maintaining integrity and professional bearing
knowledge of accounting and budgeting with data analysis skills
ability to anticipate and identify issues and reach logical decisions
professional leadership while handling competing priorities
ability to schedule, manage, and delegate work
strong interview, hire, motivate, develop, and performance monitoring skills
excellent communication skills with professionalism and diplomacy
computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
ability to travel when necessary
compliance with legal requirements for employment
physical capacity including extended periods of standing and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have:

Experience with Aloft and/or Lightspeed
familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.
