Job Description:

Vice President position in the Markets Section of the Legal Department to support equity derivatives sales and trading businesses at Wells Fargo, providing legal services advice and counsel to the equity derivatives business

Job Responsibility:

Provide legal advice and counsel to OTC equity derivatives sales and trading business
Review and analyze challenges for OTC equity derivatives business
Manage legal matters and develop opinions for equity derivatives business
Draft and revise complex legal documents
Resolve legal issues and lead team to meet deliverables
Identify and analyze complex legal issues and make recommendations
Participate in strategic direction for equity derivative trading business
Collaborate with peers and colleagues to resolve issues
Work directly with front-office business clients
Partner with business leaders to develop risk management programs
Provide counsel on cleared derivatives and hedging transactions

Requirements:

5+ years of Law experience
Active State Bar membership or equivalent
3+ years of experience in OTC equity derivatives and structured notes transactions
Significant knowledge of U.S. securities and derivatives laws and regulations
Experience with ISDA documentation including Equity Derivatives Definitions
Legal transactional experience in major law firm or corporate legal department
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
Experience building partnerships and consulting with leadership
Ability to work in fast paced environment while balancing multiple priorities

Nice to have:

Experience in cleared derivatives and bilateral hedging transactions
Familiarity with ISDA Master Agreements
