As an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you will be guest obsessed, focused on the number and a total advocate for all things ‘guest’ and ‘service’. You will be a true leader, inspiring and work closely with your F&B manager to ensure that the F&B department is set up for success.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the F&B Manager in achieving efficient operation of all F&B departments
Ensure F&B areas have the staff, equipment, facilities and raw materials for proper operational execution
Make recommendations and plan for changes to product, experience and service standards
Support the F&B Manager in maximizing revenues and controlling costs
Supervise and organise all F&B employees, facilities, equipment and raw materials
Ensure all F&B staff have the training, equipment, facilities and resources
Provide outstanding customer service and guest relations
Make recommendations to senior management to improve Guest Satisfaction
Responsible for selection, recruitment, training, appraisal, motivation, coaching & counselling of F&B staff
Comply with all accounting, control and financial procedures
Comply with all current legislation and company procedures
Foster outstanding co-ordination & communication with all Departments
Establish and maintain a positive and effective working environment
Have a full understanding of profit and loss, financials
Key driver of sales and marketing activities
Deputise in the absence of the F&B Manager
Own food and wet GP and stocks
Creation of action plans and holding team accountable
Requirements:
Personal Licence Holder
A good knowledge of service standards relating to all aspects of the service of food, wines, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks & beverages
Experience in managing large, fast paced multi-faceted operations
Experience in management of staff
Must be aged 18 or above
Must have the right to work in the UK
Must be flexible in scheduling (nights, evenings, weekends, shifts in a 24/7 trading week)
Nice to have:
Ideally an understanding of the London market
