Conducting EQT (Electrode Qualification Test)- all weld as per ASME Sec-II Part C or equivalent EN-ISO standards; WPS, PQR, WPQ qualification as per ASME Sec IX, AWS D1.1, API, ISO-15614-1 and other relevant codes of construction; Leading the product/process bench marking exercise/activities for different consumables with very good analytical ability; Participate in preparation of welding training course material for different module; Conducting training program on welding and welding technologies; Conducting technical seminars and presentations; Welding Inspection as per standards and Testing of welding Joints as per AWS, ASME, ISO 5817 and other customer’s specified requirements & Fit up inspection, Welding Inspection Before, during & after welding e.g. Edge preparation, set up& weld root, subsequent passes etc; Customer’s approval for WPS, coordination with TPI with clients, third party (DNV & others) for stage inspections and all other welding activities; Selection of welding filler metals, welding process as per material and job requirements; Job review for requirements of welding filler wires, steel plates, welding manpower hours and other relevant costing; In-house training of welders and other staff who need the training in welding fields; Review and verification of materials test certificates and welding consumables test certificates; Day to day troubleshooting of SMAW, MIG, TIG, SAW welding to enhance production Development of alternative consumables & validation of existing welding consumables for all relevant welding processes; Development of Jigs & Fixtures for welding; Preparation & Maintaining of DPT, UT, MPT and other testing documentation related to welding engineering, detection of potential deficiencies and implementing corrective actions; Check WPS parameters including preheat, filler metals; Conduct Final inspection of welds; Preparing the audit for welding facilities to ensure the working as per different certification requirements and also work as a MR for ISO 9001 certification; Product/Company/Brand approval from the customers/users/TPIA/PMC (Project Management Consultants)
