Assistant Controller

• Manage financial reporting activities, including accounting, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare accurate financial reports, including year-end statements aligned with generally accepted accounting principles and monthly financial statements
• Oversee internal reviews of financial processes and assist in annual integrated financial statement audits
• Review and approve reconciliations, providing guidance to staff to resolve outstanding items and issues
• Support the collection of Accounting Support Fees and organizational fees
• Collaborate with various divisions and offices on financial considerations and initiatives
• Act as subject matter expert for financial reporting on special projects, ad-hoc reports, and analysis
• Ensure proper capitalization of assets in compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
• Maintain occupancy lease schedules to guarantee accurate accounting treatment
• Verify transactions for correct general ledger coding

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting and accounting
• Proficiency in using Great Plains software
• Solid understanding of financial reporting principles and practices
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities effectively
• Strong commitment to maintaining a robust internal control environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive initiatives collaboratively
