Join Acelero Learning as an Assistant Center Director, where you will lead and support early childhood education programs, ensuring compliance and enhancing teaching staff performance to drive positive outcomes for children and families. The Assistant Center Director is responsible for utilizing management, monitoring, and instructional strategies to ensure both compliance and excellence among teaching staff. This position will serve as the operational lead for the center, providing guidance and support to his/her team to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal licensing and standard regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Serves as an operational lead for the Center and Extended Day by providing ongoing support and direction
Ensures all staff and center functions are fully compliant with policies/procedures, including but not limited to effective practices in health and safety and compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, local and state licensing regulations, and overall center functioning
Works with teachers to implement program curriculum with fidelity and the child assessment system reliably, including understanding child outcomes data and using them to plan and individualize
Provides teachers with ongoing coaching and support for quality improvement in all aspects of their role and professional growth through regular observation and formal and informal feedback
Manages the full implementation of all aspects of our Acelero Learning methodology and system of recordkeeping, reporting, and ongoing monitoring and data entry
Facilitates collaboration and coordination within education team and across service areas and initiatives, including ensuring full parent involvement in the program
Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required
Supervises assigned department personnel. Includes the following responsibilities, but are not limited to: hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and the completion of all work performed by direct reports
Educates direct reports on all department and company policies and procedures
Meets with assigned staff regularly to identify and resolve problems, manage projects, track goals, and review work processes and procedures
Represents team and/or department at meetings, events, and training as required
Requirements:
Associate’s degree in a related field required
bachelor's degree preferred
Early Childhood Certification or credits a plus
Minimum of 1 year of managerial/supervisory experience required
Experience working in a preschool program preferred
Must have CPR and First Aid certification or required to obtain within the first year of employment
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Physical exam and background checks are required for this position
Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions
Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation
Nice to have:
