We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Bar Manager to orchestrate a world‑class beverage experience at The St. Regis London. This role is more than daily operations—it is a leadership opportunity for an accomplished beverage professional with refined technical knowledge, impeccable standards, and a passion for luxury service and hospitality. As Assistant Bar Manager, you will lead daily bar and lounge operations, elevate our cocktail and beverage programme, inspire and develop your team, and ensure every moment of service reflects the artistry, precision and sophistication synonymous with the St. Regis brand. You will champion product quality, compliance, and commercial performance while curating menus and promotions that transform visits into signature St. Regis moments.
Job Responsibility:
Implement and uphold agreed beverage policies, standards and procedures across the bar and lounge
Support innovative menu development, seasonal promotions and elevated brand‑aligned presentations
Maintain rigorous standards for product quality, ingredient provenance, preparation and presentation
Oversee shift operations, ensuring seamless service and immaculate mise‑en‑place
Ensure full compliance with UK licensing, health & safety, food handling and sanitation regulations, while monitoring liquor‑licensing adherence and maintaining accurate due diligence records
Manage beverage controls including bar pars, portion control, inventory, issue/returns and stock variances
Analyse sales mix and cost of goods
support the achievement of budgeted controllable expenses
Interpret budgets, operating statements and payroll reports to inform financial performance
Train and coach the team on licensing compliance, product knowledge, responsible alcohol service and luxury service behaviours
Set clear expectations and supervise staffing levels to meet guest needs and financial targets
Be a visible presence on the floor, engaging with guests to personalise experiences and gather feedback
Respond promptly to guest concerns, empowering hosts to deliver graceful service recovery
Review guest satisfaction insights and drive continuous improvement through targeted action plans
Support broader F&B performance by assisting other outlets and collaborating with culinary on pairings and activations
Manage inventories in line with business levels, ensuring quality, cost efficiency and minimal waste
Requirements:
Proven experience leading bar/lounge teams in luxury hotels, premium restaurants or high‑end bars
Deep knowledge of cocktail craft, wine and spirits, with strong compliance and product stewardship
Commercial acumen with experience managing inventory, cost control and budgeting
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, coach and develop high‑performing teams
A passion for delivering elevated, personalised guest experiences and continuous improvement
Composed, solutions‑focused and collaborative, with excellent communication and organisational skills
